A Memorable Trip to Pokhara Since my childhood I had heard a lot that Pokhara is a really beautiful place I wanted to visit it after hearing that. My friends used to talk about that place which made me more curious to visit there. Finally after a long time my family decided to go there on vacation. I was really happy. I was in grade 4 that time and it was my first time to go out of Kathmandu valley. The distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara is about 204 km. We went there by plane. It took about 30 min to reach there from Kathmandu. We enjoyed the scenery of mountains by plane. We stayed in hotel Jal Mahal, Pokhara. The hotel is just 500 m away from the airport. One of my relatives was also with us who lead us just like a guide as be had visited Pokhara many times. The next day we visited places of Pokhara after lunch. 140 Quintal Garlic Produced In A Single Ward In Rukum Paschim  Rukum Paschim, June 14 :  The local farmers at Musikot Municipality-10 in Rukum Paschim district have produced over 140 quintal of garlic. Garlic farming is conducted in Jhyang, Chaur, Galampati and Chun among other villages here.     The garlic has been exported outside the district, fetching the farmers Rs 1.3 million altogether, informed local people’s representative Dhan Bahadur Khadka.     Each farmer made Rs 20,000 to 125,000 of income from the garlic farming, according to Khadka. Garlic was sold Rs 100 per kg, Rs 20 higher than the last year.     Farmers here are elated that their produces have got market amid the ongoing lockdown.     Farmer Jhuplal Khadka shared with happiness that he sold garlic worth Rs 125,000 this year. Authorities said the slain man had grabbed an officer’s Taser, but was running away when he was shot. Police Chief Erika Shields stepped down as the killing of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks sparked a new wave of protests in Atlanta after turbulent demonstrations that followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis had simmered down. Protesters on Saturday night shut down an interstate highway in both directions and set fire to the Wendy’s restaurant where Brooks was fatally shot the night before. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced the police chief’s resignation at a Saturday afternoon news conference. The mayor also called for the immediate firing of the unidentified officer who opened fire at Brooks.

Offices Resuming Services From Today By Purushottam P Khatri Kathmandu, June 15:  All government and private offices are resuming their operation from June 15 after the government relaxed the nationwide lockdown in 83 days. According to Joint Secretary Basanta Adhikari at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, all types of offices will open from Monday maintaining preventive health security measures based on the protocol designed by the offices themselves. The government has already notified that the offices will run in two shifts from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and the second shift from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The total working hours will be 10, he said. According to Adhikari, in each shift only half the staff members will have to attend the office as per the routine and necessary arrangements made by the offices themselves. Indian PM to launch metro rail in Hyderabad

Indian PM to launch metro rail in Hyderabad Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will Tuesday inaugurate first phase of the 30 km-long metro network in southern city of Hyderabad, India's official broadcaster All India Radio (AIR) said. According to officials, during its inaugural run, Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will travel by the metro from Miyapur to Kukatpally.Officials said the stretch will be thrown open for commercial operations from Wednesday. "The inauguration will be made this afternoon with Modi unveiling a pylon at Miyapur metro railway station on the outskirts of Hyderabad," an official said.The Hyderabad metro from Miyapur to Nagole - a stretch of 30 km - will have 24 metro stations.
